Weston holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Dublin City University and a Masters of Accounting from University College Dublin. Weston is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute (AITI).

Weston trained as an accountant in Arthur Andersen, which merged with KPMG in 2002. Weston subsequently joined Quinlan Private where he worked until forming Beechwood in 2005.

Weston's particular areas of expertise include advising in relation to all aspects of income tax and also providing advice in relation to capital acquisition and capital gains tax issues.

Weston is a member of the Comic & Fantasy Art Amateur Press Association.
